    ソニーの社長を兼務していたハワード・ストリンガー会長兼CEO(69)は4月1日付で平井一夫副社長(51)に社長兼CEOポストを譲渡して会長専任となり、6月の株主総会後に会長から外れて取締役会議長に就く(会長ポストは空席)。平井次期社長はストリンガー会長の“意中の人”だったことから「業績悪化で解任されて当然のストリンガーが、子分のお目付け役になって院政を敷くとは何事か」と、多くのソニー関係者が口をそろえる。
    キヤノンでは御手洗冨士夫会長兼CEO(76)が3月29日付で社長を兼務、6年前に就任した内田恒二社長(70)は相談役に退く。御手洗会長は2年前に経団連会長を退いたばかり。その功成り名を遂げた大物財界人が人事の若返りに逆行、CEO会長では不服とばかり後輩社長を排除して後釜に座るとあっては、もうサプライズだ。経済記者が苦笑する。
